MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health care plans are available for any patient with a mental health diagnosis.

A mental health care plan is a support plan for someone who is going through mental health issues. A mental health care plan is a plan that is made between yourself and your GP to assess whether you would benefit from a treatment plan.

This plan will allow you access to Medicare rebates for up to 20 individual appointments per 12 month period with a mental health provider e.g Psychologist or Psychiatrist.

You can’t get Medicare rebates for all 20 sessions in one go. After the first 6 appointments, you need to see your doctor again for a plan review and another referral.

Please book an appointment with your regular GP to get further information regarding your eligibility.

If you are needing afterhours help please see the numbers below.
